After a week of working, meeting people, seeing areas we had provided aid too, it was time for us to sit back and relax. Monday morning we were picked up early and were off to the more touristy areas of Malawi. First stop, Mvuu and a wildlife park run by the WWF.

As we neared the park, we could easily tell this was an area that more tourists visited and left more tourist money. The homes in the villages had roofs, doors, windows with real window treatments, and even a few had porches or some kind of architectural designs. These were not the thatch, roofed,  homes we were used to seeing.

There was tremendous excitement as we entered Mvuu and started seeing monkey’s in the village. We convinced Frank that the minibus would be safe and that he should join us on the river safari. The river safari that was just too cool for words. My only regret was not getting a sound recording of the hippos.
